    Description

Cardboard box that says Soapy Quintuplets, a Kerk Guild Product by Lester Gaba.  Lester Gaba was a famous artist specializing in creating soap pieces of art.  He wrote several books on the subject and his art pieces are collected.   On the side of the box it says Purest Domestic Castile Soap, Copyright 1934 Kerk Guild Inc., Utica, New York.  The box measures 9 1/4" x 4 1/4" x 1 1/4".  Inside the box are 5 soaps, never used, in the form of little infant babies, lying on a pink bordered white cloth and each baby wrapped in a white with pink bordered folded around them cloth..  They all have a pink ribbon tied around their necks and 4 of the 5 babies have pink hats.  As you can see from the photos, they originally had red mouths and brown eyes-some of those features remain on some of the quints.  All of the blankets are tied together and I have not attempted to remove any of the babies from their nesting.  Each soap is approx 4" tall x 1 1/2" wide.   The box has some edge and corner wear, with no split corners.  There is an old piece of clear tape at the top middle and the bottom left has a spot where a price tag has been removed.  You can see the condition of the babies in my photos and of their coverings.  I felt under the wrappings and none of the soaps are broken or otherwise damaged.  I could not find on ebay or any where else a similar quints item like this.  From a pet free and smoke free home-the item has no adverse odor---it does still smell like soap.  Also a virus free home.  Weighs almost 1 pound before being properly wrapped for mailing.
