    Description

Try to find another one of these!
Pictured is a very rare boudoir/vanity chalkware and glass souvenir trinket-jewelry bowl from the 1933 Chicago World's Fair. It features a chalkware bust of Sally Rand, a burlesque dancer and model who was a significant part of the entertainment at this particular fair. The World's Fair emblem is imprinted on the front of the bowl and the Century of Progress ribbon remains fastened around the figure. I haven't been able to find another example of one of these anywhere, so it may very well be the lone survivor! Measures 7 1/2" tall. For being almost 90 years old, it remains very good condition with no major damage. There is some general wear such as paint loss on the inside of the glass bowl from age/use as well as a little wear around where the hair is glued to the sides of Sally's face.
A really neat world's fair memorabilia item and an excellent boudoir or vanity decor piece!
Will be double boxed and packaged well.
