    Description

USED ROLAND R-880 DIGITAL REVERB WITH GC-8 GRAPHIC CONTROLLER VER.2.00, The unit is in good cosmetic condition for its age. The reverbs and effects sound incredible as this machine was made to compete with high end Lexicon 480Ls and the like. The R-880 has stereo ins and quad output where some of the algorithms use all four outputs. In addition to Reverb there are delays and chorus algorithms (also eq and compression). There are optical and SPDIF digital connections where you can go all digital or use your own AD/DA (I used Mytek converters a time or two and it sounded extra great although some swear by the old converters in the unit as part of "the sound").
This R-880 has been updated to the more desired Ver.2.00 and the GC-8 system card is Ver.2.00 also (see pics). The GC-8 is branded Rodgers but is made by Roland and is essentially identical to the Roland GC-8. The GC-8 has had the mod to remove the annoying tone from the tiny transformer inside of it. Due to that the screen is not backlit. Also for some reason the internal memory bank is always showing full, to work around this I always save to cards. The GC-8 is connected via a high quality custom 25ft cable so that you can have the remote where you need it.
As a bonus I am adding in a multi card that will include the Lexicon 480L, Massenberg and Lee Quintana preset cards. Those preset cards add a lot of range and value to the R-880 as programming it yourself is a bit tedious. The multi card has 16 switchable 256 cards, so yes it is the equivalent of having 16 cards (3 are fully loaded with famous presets).
This R-880 is 220v so I have been using a Philmore ST-300 for USA usage and it works great. The Philmore ST-300 step-up transformer is included in the sale as can be seen in the pics.
Large and heavy piece of gear so shipping and packaging costs will be higher than your average 2RU unit. Pics are of actual unit up for sale.
