Garcia Fans !! who really dig the Rare !  And, of course ... the way cool-looking too !  Offered here is a stellar little piece of Early ! J.G.B. Rock & Roll History !!  This is a Vintage Original ( Genuine / Authentic ) Jerry Garcia Band ( J.G.B. ! ) Backstage Pass for the 1981 Fall Tour stop at the Uptown Theater in Chicago, Illinois !!!  This was a Big-League 1981 East Coast / Mid-West Garcia Band run that delivered 17 1/2-Shows in 14-Venues ! from Halloween 1981 ... all the way through 11/19/81 at the Rainbow Theater in Denver, Colorado !  This Tour stretched through Pennsylvania - New York - Maryland - New York (again) - New Jersey - Washington D.C. - New Jersey (again) - New York (again) - Massachusetts, Vermont - Rhode Island - Chicago, and Colorado !  Truly setting the early ' path ' for many future Garcia Tours in the East!   So, this 11/17/81 Chicago Show was the 2nd to last on this '81 Fall Tour - slated right between a Providence Rhode Island Show ( at the Providence Performing Arts Center ) - and the Tour-Closing Show at the Rainbow Theater in Denver, Colorado ... with only 1-day off for the Band in between each Show !?!  My goodness were Garcia & Co. just Road Warriors ! during this Late-'70's to Mid '80's Period & Era.  And, here at this 11/17/81 Show - a lengthy 15-Song Set was still ! delivered !!  Pretty-hot, for certain.  And, what is also way-cool about this Backstage Pass -- other then the Chicago City Skyline Design ! itself -- is the fact that Garcia only ever played Ten ( 10 ) Shows ever ! in the entire State of Illinois !!?  With, all of them taking place between 1975 and 1991 - not including Grateful Dead Shows, obviously.  So, to find a Garcia / J.G.B. Pass or Ticket for Chicago is a pretty tough task in itself !  I'm pretty certain that Chicago was the # 3 U.S. DMA Market at this point in time in 1981 - with only New York & L.A. being larger ... so, Jerry had to get there to take the Music ! to the Fans - but, it was usually a pretty big Tour-stretch to make it there.  So ... Chicago Fans ! be Grateful !!  Check out the Setlist below Fans - as this was a Hot ! one - and hopefully ( naturally ... ) - You ! were in the House on 11/17/81 -- inside the soon to be closed " Uptown !!!
