' Mailorder ' Ticket for the December 28, 1988 ( 12/28/88 ) Grateful Dead Ticket ( Unused & " Collected-Only " ! ) for the Oakland Coliseum - Oakland, California ( CA ) 1988 - 1989 " New Year's Eve " run of Shows !!!  A 2-Show Countdown to the New Year's Eve 1988 - 1989 Show ... which also meant only a few Shows left - before the Grateful-Sands ! would be slipping through the Hourglass ! turning the G.D. 1988 Touring-Year into the pretty-much " Massive ! " Year of 1989 Grateful Dead !!!  I mean just think ... '89 Spring Tour ! - Summer Tour '89 !! - The Band's Last Album Ever ... " Built To Last " - and last, but most definitely not-least ... the Good Ol' Late-'80's Grateful Dead transforming into " The Warlocks ! " to lay down Mindblowing !! Shows inside the " Spaceship ! " - known to many Music Fans simply as ... the Hampton Coliseum !  Wow ... is-Right !!!  This was a 3-Show stand leading up to & including the 12/31/88 " New Year's " Show ... with this 12/28 Show being the 1st ! Show of this 3-Show run -- 12/28/1988 !  With ... the Very-Very-Cool ! & Cute !! Grateful Dead " Dancing Bear ! " Ticket Logo Design ... dating way-back in it's original Grateful Dead ' History ' -- back to the " Bear's Choice " Album Cover Art - released in 1973 !  Awesome ... for certain.  And, this Ticket is of course one of the Grateful Dead Tickets Services ( GDTS ) " Mailorder " ( Fancy - Glitter !! ) Tickets, instead of the standard run of the mill Bass, Ticketmaster, Fast Tixx, etc. type tickets - way-more common in the '70's, '80's & '90's Grateful Dead Touring-Years.  And ... as for this 12/28/88 Show ?! -- An Iko Iko Show-Opener ! ... So Yeah ! - as ' This ! ' Dancing Bear was-indeed Dancin' ! right out of the starting-gate !  Ha !!  And then ... it was back to Walkin' again - with some Walkin' Blues !! - Jack-A-Roe - All Over Now - Push - Memphis Blues - Bird Song - Jack Straw ... Set-Closer !  Just as the tale of the tape clearly reads ... so Amsesomely ! " 1988 " !!!  And then for Set II ??! ... it was indeed >>> China > Rider !!! time ! - for the Set II Opener !!  And, quite a Blistering ! one too, if I must say my own self ... but, then again - I always did kinda Live ! for my " China > Rider !!! " doses on Tour !  And ... Especially ! in Good Ol' Oak-Town !!!  Yes !!!!!  Estimated > He's Gone to follow, Very-Kindly ! into Drums / Space ... with a little Uncle John's Band ! comin' Straight ! at-cha !!  Then Miracle ! > Foolish Heart ! > Lovelight !!!  And again ... so-Awesomely ! " '88 " - and maybe even more importantly ... an early Taste ! of what '89 would shortly have to bring !  Which, as we all well know ... Huge !!! Live-Dead !!!!!  Baby Blue ! for the Encore here, my fellow Dead Fan Friends - and then it was on to Night # 2 !! > on 12/29/88 !!!  What a Big-League ! Night of 1988 Live-Dead ! here, for sure ...  As wow, were they on to something yet once-again ... Triumphant-Resurgence ! after " Triumphant " Resurgence !! ... with maybe-even - " The Best ! " Still ! yet to come.  These were Fine ! ... Fine !! ... Fine !!! Days, without any question - for the Fans !! -- & for the Band !!!  Just Awesome ...  Grate ! times, for certain ... & for All !!  Enjoy !!!!!
