The concert to raise money for aids was put on by Bill Graham.
To start Huey Lewis and the News played a show at Slims
The next night was at Club Fugazi
Then a comedy show at the Warfield with Bobcat Goldthwait
Followed by a gospel show at the Berkeley community
The worlds longest conga line at Dolores Park
A dance concert at the Gift Center with book of love and blazing redheads
A Latin show at the gift center
And then the main event
The Grateful Dead with John forgerty and friends, Tracy Chapman, Los lobos, joe satriani and the tower of power!!
What an event.
I pulled this shirt out of a bag. It’s never been worn. I tried to wear it but it’s too small so I put it back and am putting it for sale. It’s an XL but it’s probably more like a modern day large.
So much generosity to raise money here at this event. So unworn because it didn’t fit me. The colors sparkle like the day it was printed. It has been sitting in mostly darkness since the show.
