Grateful Dead Fans !!! ... now I bet this-one here is bringing back some memories right now, and making you think of that Cherished ! Billy & Mickey Drum-Roll !! ... to the Opening notes of Samson !!!  Offered here indeed - is the Vintage Original ( Genuine / Authentic ) Grateful Dead Backstage Pass ( sticker-patch / satin ) for the '88 Summer Tour Show at Silver Stadium in Rochester, New York on June 30, 1988 ( 6/30/1988 ) !!!  One of the Coolest ! G.D. Passes of the Late'80's Era ... hands-down !  A Statuesque-design of the both Biblical Tale & Grateful Dead Song ... " Samson & Delilah " !!!  A Sunday-Sermon Live-Rocker that most-all ! Dead Fans waited for eagerly, and Treasured ! ... always chompin' at the bit to do some more Dancin' !!!  Ha !  Well, as you can well-see here in the photos ... Samson has the Lion at his mercy indeed ... in this Man vs. Beast Test of Strength ! - a Battle to the End ! - with Samson obviously victorious.  As those G.D. Fan-favorite song lines go - swirling in our Dead Heads for decades ! ... " Samson Ripped that Beast, God Knows - He Killed Him There !! ... and the Bees Made Honey in the Lions Hair ! ".  Whoa !!?!  Just typing this makes me want to go & fire up the Nak ... grabbing for yep, you guessed it ... 6/30/88 Rochester !  Dang right they played it, as I mean how couldn't they with This ! Killer-Design featured right on the Backstage Pass !!  In fact, you had better check this one out right now ( unless You ! were already there ?! ... right on ! ) >>> Set II : Green Onions > China > Rider > Samson !!! - Believe It Or Not, Truckin' > He's Gone > Drums > Space > Other One > Wharf Rat > Throwing Stones > Lovelight ... with a Brokedown Encore !  Wow ... most definitely grab this one, for a little S & D -- and, hey ... while you're at it - I might advise grabbing for 6/30/85 MPP too ! with Samson sandwiched ' recklessly ' & Delightfully ! between Shakedown !! & Gimmie Some Lovin' !!!  A complete Mid-'80's Live-Dead Burner !!!  One of my personal favorites too, as Garcia clearly separates himself from anybody else who every tried to play a Guitar !  Nasty !! & so-beautiful ! ... Beautifully-Nasty !!!!!  Point being, that is the Power & Attack ! that Samson could & most often would deliver Live !  A go-to Rocker, straight out of the G.D. Powerhouse Pocket !  The Band ripping-that-Beast ! just like the tale of Samson & the Lion ... Samson & Delilah !!!  This Backstage Pass design was only used a few times - all in the Late-'80's ! ... 6/30/88 Rochester - 4/3/89 and 10/9/89 Hampton being the only examples that I am able to pull right off of my Dead Head at the moment.  And ... I'm pretty certain that this 6/30/88 Pass was actually the ' Debut ' of this design - but, that is my best guess ... as I can't think of it being used any earlier ?!?  And, as you probably have already noticed too ... " Grateful Dead " is printed in one of the Greatest ! ' Fonts ' of all-time ... totally modern, yet still ! Totally '80's !!  A way nice-match indeed, at least to my eyes ... & one of my all-time favorites - for certain !  Well, look out for Samson - and if do both cross paths with him someday ... my advice would be to get on his good side !  And, especially if you are a Lion !! ... Ha !  Enjoy this Ultra-Rare ! G.D. Rock 'n Roll !! Treasure !!!
