The Vince Welnick Photo Pass !!! - One of Only Two " Band Member Photo " G.D. Passes in the Late-'70's - 1980's & 1990's ! - with the only other being of Mickey Hart !  A most-certain G.D. Classic !! ... of Vince !!!
Dead Fans ! - Vince ! Fans ... & Fans of Live-Dead in New York ! - at M.S.G. !!  Offered here is the Vintage Original ( Genuine / Authentic ) Grateful Dead Backstage Pass ( sticker-patch / satin ) for the Madison Square Garden " Fall Tour '94 " run at MSG in New York City ! on October 13th, 1994 ( 10/13/1994 ).  Dead Fans ! -- Dead Fans !!  This here Pass not only represents the " Opening Night ! " of the Last & Final ! Grateful Dead Madison Square Garden stand -- but, it is also only 1 of 2 " Band Member Photo " Passes Ever-Used ! by the Grateful Dead - in close to 20-Years !?!  And ... the part that I really dig too - is that it's of Vince !  I've always loved me some Vince ... since the early days in Late-'90's - but, I also dug a little ' Tubes ' too !  You too, I hope ?  She's a Beauty !!!  Classic ... gimmie-some MTV !  Ha !!  Yes, so - in the Early-'70's there was some use of group photos on a few Tickets - Backstage Passes - Handbills ( obviously ... ) - and such - but in over a 20-Years+ span for the Grateful Dead never-ever ! used any of " Themselves " on their Backstage Passes ?!?  Now, we all know that the Boys aren't vain & all ... but, I think it would have been Great ! to have a " Bobby Pass ! " - and ... just-imagine what that " Jerry G.D. Pass ! " would be worth today !  It's Garcia & all ... so yeah - Priceless !  But, in the Mid-'90's this finally changed ! - however, it only did change twice ... once in the form of a Mickey Hart ! Pass - and, this Photo Pass of Vince ! too !!  I was a Vince Fan - still am - and always will be.  I thought he filled that seat just about as Perfectly ! as you could ever ask.  I mean let's cut to the chase ... there is only-one Brent - and, considering that he kind of even left us in his arguable Prime ??  Contributing close to 1/2 of the songs on ' Built To Last ' ?  And ... the Power !! of Brent Live ? - when he was hot ?!?!!  Whoa !  That is Big ! Rock 'n Roll - just about a big time as it can ever get.  Basically, when this guy was on - he actually Impressed ! Garcia !! ... and truly drew him in musically - and ... not many can ever ! say that.  Luckily ... all the Boys on stage could too - just depending who's on & when.  But ... I'm not sure Vince's shake was 100% pure - as he kinda got railroaded a bit by the whole Hornsby thing - who, at least to my ears ... had a playing style a little too flowerly for the Grateful Dead - and ... especially for Early-'90's G.D..  But, that's just me.  Point being ... I think it should have just been Vince's Job from the get-go.  He was a way-talented player - and could fit in so well when needed - and, he could also deliver loops & grit too ... when jam pockets were needing to come from the Keys spot.  Consider this ... after the '90 Europe Tour - which, maybe shouldn't have happened - due to the immediate ( post August '90 ) timing ... with the exception of 1991 - you might be able to say that the Band's ' overall ' best year was 1993 !!?  Are you with me ?  Well ... this was Vince & just Vince steering that mighty Ship of the Grateful Dead from the Keyboard - and, at least to my ears ... quite-nicely !  And, as far as Vince leaving us - it's just too sad to go down that road - so I won't ... because it is indeed all too much.  But, I will say that everyone I know who met him during both the G.D. Days - and the Missing Man Formation days to follow - just said that he was the Absolute-Coolest ! guy.  And really - nobody can beat that Legacy.  So ... all you fellow Vince Fans !! out there - well, here you go !  Now you can put this one next to your Mickey Pass ! & have them Both !! Photo G.D. Passes on Backstage Satin !!!  Pretty-Awesome ...  Enjoy !!!!!
