The Boeing 727-200 is the stretched version of the 727-100. The '200 is 20 feet longer that the '100. The first 727-200 flew on July 27th, 1967. The first delivery was to Northeast Airlines. As the aircraft evolved, a series of higher gross weights and more powerful engines were introduced along with other improvements. These 727-200's were dubbed "Adv" or advanced. The first "advanced" version was delivered in mid-1972. A total of 935 were produced.
Delta Shuttle, founded in 1991, is the brand name for Delta Airlines Air Shuttle Service in the Northeastern United States. Delta purchased the Pan American Airlines Shuttle Service in 1991, after Pan Am filed for bankruptcy, acquiring their 727's.  The last Delta Shuttle Boeing 727 service was January 08, 2001, after they were replaced with Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
This Delta Shuttle Boeing 727-232 with registration number N480DA, had its maiden flight on February 14, 1975. It was delivered to Delta Shuttle on March 20, 1975. It flew under Delta Shuttle colors until its retirement.
This 1:200 scale Flight Miniatures solid resin reproduction of that aircraft is a very rare, detailed, out of production model. It requires only minimal assembly and comes with a display stand. It has the beautiful Delta Shuttle colors from the late 1970's to late 1990's.
