Antique, Victorian very long mourning necklace. Well polished round beads 8mm each. S
tunning deep black color and oil sheen of whitby. Very light weight, only 72g for a such long necklace. Very pleasant to touch.The stone was tested, I guarantee that this is not a fake (not vulcanite, not ebonite, not plastic or other imitations). Collected on a strong vaxed cotton thread and knotted.
Circa 1870-90's. Very beautiful old thing from private collection! Looks so rich and noble!
No clasp - worn over head.
Usually such necklaces were worn along with others, long, but larger ones.
Great vintage condition!
No scratches, cracks, chips, etc.
