    Description

Antique Carved Cow Bone Button Hook w/ Stanhope
    Marseille * Circa 1890s
This little glove or button hook has a turned shank with an orb at the top that contains a Stanhope viewer. Stanhopes aren't often found in button hooks. It is carved of cow (bovine) bone* and the entire piece is in excellent condition with no chips or loss. The hook is steel (attracts a magnet) and is strong and rust-free. It measures 3 7/8" long.
The Stanhope is nice and clear and has 9 views entitled "Souvenir de Marseille".
*This item is made of bone from a domestic cow (bovine) and NOT from an endangered species or an ivory producing species.
