Aluminum Soap Dish Hot Springs Arkansas Souvenir Vintage 60's Kitsch.
This kitschy aluminum soap dish most likely originated from one of the many touristy bath house gift shops located in Hot Springs, Arkansas. I've searched for years to locate the maker of this etched aluminum souvenir but have not had any luck even finding another one just like it!
Etching is of (what I assume is) two couples lounging naked in a tub together, including smoking and martinis. The quote across the top of the tray reads "Folks Are Real Friendly Here" implying a bit of sexual inuendo. Pretty riské for the time and place in a "Bible Belt" state.
There is some pitting on the surface of the aluminum but otherwise in good condition.
