    Description

    Highly sought-after piece of vintage analog gear from Akai.  This was sold as sort of a companion piece to the MPC 2000XL in the early 2000's and could even be mounted above the MPC with the right kit.  Warm analog filtering, LFO, wicked distortion button, and great EQ.  I have been the sole owner of this unit since 2004 and have had thousands of hours of fun with it, but these days it's just taking up rack space.  On this particular unit, the headphone jack is somewhat loose and needs to be held in place when using headphones.  Read more here:  http://www.vintagesynth.com/akai/mfc42.php
